2. Overview
Zappio is an IPTV player app for iPhone and iPad. Zappio does not provide, host, or distribute channels, movies, series, subscriptions, streams, or playlists. You connect the app to your own lawful playlist or provider account using your own credentials and data sources. We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate the app and fulfil our legal obligations, and only on the legal bases set out below.
3. Data Processed Locally on Your Device
Zappio stores the following data exclusively on your device (local app storage). This data is never transmitted to us or any server we operate:
- IPTV account credentials you enter (host/server URL, username, password, or direct M3U playlist URL).
- Playlist and category metadata fetched from your provider.
- EPG / TV guide data (if you use the EPG feature).
- Your favourites and in-app preferences.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing is necessary to perform the contract (providing app functionality you requested).
4. Network Connections Initiated by You
When you use Zappio, the app connects directly from your device to the URLs and API endpoints you configure (e.g. your Xtream Codes server, M3U URL, XMLTV/EPG source). These connections are made solely to retrieve playlist data, guide information, and media streams for playback. We do not operate, control, or log these connections. Your IPTV provider's own privacy policy governs any data they collect.

5. Website Hosting and Technical Access Data
When you visit this website, basic technical access data such as your IP address, request time, browser information, requested URL, and HTTP status code may be processed by our hosting provider to deliver the website securely and reliably. This website does not use cookies, third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or remotely loaded web fonts.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in secure, reliable website delivery.
6. Apple App Store & In-App Purchases
Zappio is distributed via the Apple App Store. Apple may collect and process data in connection with your download, installation, and in-app purchases in accordance with Apple's own privacy policy (apple.com/legal/privacy). We receive only aggregated, anonymised sales and crash statistics from Apple; we do not receive any personal data about individual users from Apple.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — necessary for contract performance (app distribution and in-app purchase processing).
7. Analytics, Advertising & Tracking
Zappio does not use any third-party advertising SDKs, behavioural tracking, or user analytics tools inside the app. No personal data is sold or shared with advertisers.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
All data stored by the app lives exclusively on your device and is retained until you delete it yourself (e.g. by removing your account profile within the app or uninstalling the app). We do not store any personal data on our own servers in connection with normal app use.
If you contact us by email, your correspondence is retained for up to six (6) months for the purpose of handling your inquiry, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
9. Transfer of Data to Third Countries
The app itself does not transmit data to any server we operate. Any transfers to your IPTV provider's servers are governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy. This website does not intentionally load third-party analytics, advertising pixels, cookies, or remote web fonts.
10. Your Rights Under GDPR (Art. 15–22)
As a data subject you have the following rights regarding any personal data we process:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) — you may request information about the data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — you may request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — you may request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) — you may request that processing be restricted.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) — you may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) — you may object to processing based on legitimate interests.

12. Children's Privacy
Zappio is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, applicable law, or our practices. The current version is always available at this URL. Material changes will be communicated via an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
